Junior Lifeguards

Need something for your children to do during the summer?

Enroll in the Junior guard program today! The Junior Lifeguard program is an exciting and fun way to spend the summer. The Junior Lifeguards learn valuable lifeguard skills and participate in other well-supervised activities. Each instructor is a well trained and experienced lifeguard. The instructors strive to provide a rich and rewarding experience for each child.

The Bonelli Park Junior Lifeguard Program is sponsored by Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. It is a program to introduce youths 9 to 17 year olds to the field of open water lifesaving and water safety. It is taught by actual Los Angeles County Lifeguards who run the Swim Beach and Rescue Boat Patrol at Puddingstone Lake, located in Bonelli Park.

The program has two sessions during the summer. The first session runs from mid June to mid July and the second session runs from mid July to mid August. Each session is four weeks long and runs four days a week. The hours are from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. but may vary for field trip days. The cost of the program is $275 per child per session.
